About Us:
TSG Behavioral Health & Community Services is expanding community-based behavioral health services into southeastern North Carolina to meet the growing need for high-quality, Medicaid-compliant care in underserved communities.

Our Community Support Team (CST) program serves adults with serious mental illness, co-occurring substance use disorders, and significant functional challenges that place them at risk of crisis, hospitalization, homelessness, or institutionalization. We are building a strong, structured, and responsive CST program that supports both client stability and long-term recovery in the community.

We are seeking an Associate or Fully Licensed Clinician to serve as the CST Team Lead for this region. This is a strong opportunity for a clinician who wants more than a traditional caseload role and is ready to step into leadership, help guide a multidisciplinary team, support clinical quality, and help strengthen a growing program in a high-need service area.

Position Summary:
The CST Team Lead is the clinical and day-to-day program leader for the Community Support Team. This role is responsible for helping guide team operations, supporting service quality, overseeing key clinical processes, completing and reviewing assessments, and helping ensure that services remain organized, effective, compliant, and sustainable.

This is not just a direct service position. This is a leadership opportunity for a clinician who can help build structure, support staff accountability, maintain strong clinical standards, and contribute to the growth and success of CST services in the region.

The ideal candidate is someone who is organized, responsive, comfortable working in the community, and ready to help lead a team serving adults with complex behavioral health and social needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Community Support Team and provide direction, support, and accountability to team members
  • Supervise and support Qualified Professionals, Associate Professionals, paraprofessionals, and Peer Support Specialists involved in CST services
  • Conduct Comprehensive Clinical Assessments (CCAs) as required and complete or oversee clinical addendums, updates, and related documentation
  • Support treatment planning, case review, and clinical decision-making for adults with serious mental illness and co-occurring needs
  • Ensure clinical documentation is completed accurately, timely, and in accordance with agency standards and Medicaid requirements
  • Review service notes, treatment plans, addendums, discharge-related documentation, and other records for quality and compliance
  • Hold and lead regular CST team meetings in the Elizabethtown office, including case review, staffing, service planning, problem-solving, and follow-up on client and operational issues
  • Monitor staff performance, productivity, documentation quality, and service delivery expectations
  • Provide direct clinical support and interventions as needed for high-need or complex cases
  • Help identify workflow issues, service gaps, documentation concerns, or compliance issues and support corrective action and process improvement
  • Coordinate with referral sources, care managers, MCO/LME partners, hospitals, and community agencies to support continuity of care and strengthen the program’s regional presence
  • Help support client engagement, retention, and recovery-focused service planning within a strong community-based model
  • Assist agency leadership in building a CST program that is structured, compliant, responsive, and positioned for long-term success
  • Support census development, staff accountability, service quality, and overall program performance in a growing service area

Qualifications:
  • Associate or fully licensed clinician in North Carolina strongly preferred
  • Examples may include LCSWA, LCMHCA, LMFTA, LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist, or another qualifying clinical license
  • Must meet qualifications to serve in the CST Team Lead role under applicable service requirements
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience working with adults with serious mental illness, co-occurring disorders, or complex behavioral health needs preferred
  • Experience with clinical assessments, treatment planning, documentation review, case coordination, and team leadership strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of Medicaid documentation standards, behavioral health compliance, and community-based service delivery preferred
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the service area
  • Ability to balance field-based service needs, leadership responsibilities, documentation oversight, and team support
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills required

What We Offer:
  • $40,000 - $45,000 annual salary
  • Performance bonus opportunities
  • Mileage reimbursement for approved work-related travel
  • Full-time leadership opportunity in a growing community-based behavioral health program
  • Flexible structure with community work, remote documentation, and in-person team meetings
  • Opportunity to help shape and strengthen services in underserved counties
  • Supportive agency environment focused on accountability, quality, growth, and meaningful community impact
  • 401(k)
